Created in collaboration with women artisans in South Punjab, Pakistan, Balochi honors balochi tanka, a labor-intensive stitching technique that requires extraordinary skill. Inspired by the textiles of Balochistan, this pillow is made of sussi, a handwoven cotton stripe fabric, and features geometric embroidery, circular mirrors and beaded tassels. Each pillow is a unique handcrafted conversation piece that adds color, texture and global sophistication to a room. This pillow includes a feather/down-fill insert and hidden zipper closure. Proceeds from the sale of this item contribute to Ibu Movement, an organization that provides the means and marketplace for women creators around the globe to achieve the dignity and independence of financial stability.
